Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policies

Hakyarts Return & Defective Item Policy

All Hakyarts products are individually produced on demand.
Due to the customized nature of our items, the EU right of withdrawal (14-day change-of-mind return) does not apply, except in cases of verified defects as defined below.


1. Definition of Defective Items

A defective item refers only to significant errors caused by Hakyarts, including:

  • The product does not match the ordered size by more than 2 cm.

  • The product materially differs from the advertised design or images.

  • Obvious printing or production errors that significantly affect the intended appearance.

Please note: Minor imperfections, slight color variations (due to screens or printing processes), or subtle texture/finish differences are not considered defects.


2. Defective Item Procedure

If your order qualifies as defective:

  1. Report within 7 days of delivery by contacting Hakyarts with:

    • Order number

    • Clear photos of the item and packaging

    • Brief description of the issue

  2. Damaged packages: Report and provide photos within 3 days of delivery. Failure to do so may prevent Hakyarts from guaranteeing a free replacement.

  3. Do not return the item before receiving instructions.

Once verified, Hakyarts will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.


3. Low-Value Orders

For orders below €15 total (including shipping), Hakyarts reserves the right to:

  • Offer a partial refund only, instead of a full replacement, when the cost of replacement exceeds the item value.

  • Notify the customer before issuing any partial refund.

  • Require photos of the issue for verification.

We encourage customers to combine smaller items into larger orders to maximize value and reduce shipping costs.


4. Customer-Liability Returns

  • Returns requested at the customer’s cost (e.g., partial refunds for gross errors) are accepted.

  • A handling fee of €8 will be deducted from any refund.

  • Customers are responsible for secure packaging and shipment; any in-transit damage may reduce the refund proportionally.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after inspection.


5. Carrier Responsibility

  • Once an order is dispatched, the carrier assumes responsibility for safe delivery.

  • Hakyarts is not liable for delays, loss, damage, or refused deliveries during transit.

  • We will assist in filing claims with the carrier, but refunds or replacements for carrier-related issues require carrier confirmation of liability.

  • For higher-value or bulk orders, tracked and insured shipping is strongly recommended.


6. Exclusions

Refunds or replacements are not granted for:

  • Change of mind, dislike of design, or ordering the wrong size

  • Minor imperfections that do not materially affect the product

  • Packages lost, delayed, refused, or mishandled by the carrier (these are subject to carrier claims)

  • Returns requested after the 7-day notification window

  • Cases of suspected policy abuse, including:

    • Bulk returns

    • Repeated claims

    • Inconsistent or fraudulent submissions
