When you order a large art print online, one question matters more than anything else: will it arrive in perfect condition?
Large-format prints require more than standard packaging. They are sensitive to bending, surface friction, and handling during transport.
That’s why we use a carefully designed two-layer protection system, built specifically for large prints (50×70 cm and above), ensuring they arrive exactly as intended — clean, flat, and flawless.
1. Step one: inner protective white layer
The first layer wraps directly around the print.
This layer is designed to:
- protect the surface from scratches and friction
- prevent ink transfer or scuffing
- keep the print clean during handling
We use a smooth white protective paper that acts as a soft barrier between the artwork and any external pressure.
This is the first line of defense for preserving print quality.
2. Step two: outer kraft paper protection
Once the print is safely wrapped, we add a second outer layer using thick brown kraft paper.
This layer provides:
- structural reinforcement during shipping
- resistance against bending and impact
- protection from external handling stress
Kraft paper is widely used in professional art shipping because it combines durability with flexibility, making it ideal for protecting large flat items.
3. Why we use a two-layer system
Each layer has a specific role:
- White inner layer → protects the artwork itself
- Kraft outer layer → protects the package during transport
Separating these functions ensures:
- better protection
- cleaner presentation
- more reliable shipping performance
Instead of relying on a single material to do everything, each layer is optimised for its purpose.
4. Designed specifically for large-format prints
Large prints require extra care because:
- surface area increases exposure to damage
- corners are more vulnerable during handling
- bending forces increase during transit
Our packaging system is designed to reduce these risks while keeping the process efficient and consistent for every order.
5. A balance between protection and presentation
Packaging is not only about safety — it is also part of the experience.
When you unbox your print, the goal is simple:
- it should feel clean
- it should feel intentional
- and it should look exactly as it did in the studio
The inner white layer ensures a clean reveal, while the kraft layer ensures safe arrival.
